The check presenter
A quiet, paper-toned e-ink object for the one moment at the table that's still allowed to feel physical. Reflective, not backlit — it reads in direct sun and lands on a candlelit two-top without glowing at anybody. Leather spine, aluminum chassis, no glass.
It shows the closed check the second the server sets it down, then the code to pay, then a thank-you with the tip already on it. About a month between charges.

The bump bar
One sealed button per ticket on the rail. Hit it with a knuckle, a fist, a glove — it never needs a clean fingertip. Each lane lights copper the instant its ticket fires, and sits directly under that ticket on the screen above.
Press it, that ticket bumps. No mapping to learn, no menu to navigate, and the whole thing takes a sanitizer hose-down without flinching.

Table markers
The number on the table updates itself when the host renames or merges it. No laminator, no wrong number sitting on a two-top all night.

86 something on the Floor and the board at the host stand catches up on its own — instead of a chalkboard nobody has touched since Tuesday.
Shelf & prep labels
Prep date, cook, and use-by, written from the same menu the line is already working off. Still legible after a week in a walk-in.
Why we'd bother.
The software already runs on hardware you can buy anywhere — any tablet, any browser, and that stays true. None of this is a terminal you have to rent from us to keep your account working. It's the objects the room actually touches, made properly, for operators who care what their dining room feels like.
